The Classic Star Patch

Self Adhesive, hand stitched appliqué patch. Created using the smaller 'scrap' pieces of reclaimed material from larger projects. Stitched with just as much consideration and care, so you can easily customise your pre-existing clothing with all the same characterful handmade charm. 

Instructions: (As shown on the back of each patch)

1. Peel back the paper backing.
2. Place patch on the fabric or garment where desired. 
3. Press down with hot iron three times over the whole patch and then leave to cool. 
4. Stitch down the edges for extra support, using machine or hand stitch. 

Once stitched, the patch is safe to wash at low temperatures as usual. - some fraying is to be expected. Once washed and dried, give it another press with the iron to rebind the adhesive and smooth out the design. 

Each patch is approximately 115 mm square inclusive of a 10 mm boarder space.

As always handle the iron with care and be cautious of the adhesive interfacing when its hot. Keep the iron below 220 degrees Celsius to avoid burning and marking the materials. If your base fabric or garment is synthetic, make sure you check the labels to ensure its safe to iron.
